A healthier alternative to regular rice pudding, this version uses tasty brown rice which retains more of the vitamins and nutrients than white rice.

Brown Rice Pudding Recipe

Total Time: 30 minutes


  • 2 Cups Cooked Brown Rice
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 3 Cups Milk
  • 2/3 Cup Golden Raisins
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground CInnamon
  • Pinch of Salt and Ground Nutmeg


  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the cornstarch and sugar. Add milk and stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in rice, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for ten minutes.
  3. Cool slightly before serving.
