Baked Vegan Corndog Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 Tofu Hotdogs
  • 2/3 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1/3 Cup Pastry Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Egg Replacer
  • 2/3 Cup Non-dairy Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450?F. Prepare a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, mustard powder, garlic powder, pepper, egg replacer and sugar.
  3. Slowly add the non-dairy milk until mixture is wet but not liquid-y.
  4. Dip tofu hotdogs into mixture and coat thoroughly.
  5. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
